Are you a member of the California Association for Property and Evidence organization? We are!

For more than 38 years we have been a trusted resource to the local public safety community. We design and build clean, configurable storage systems for evidence, property, weapons and personnel items.

Joining the California Association for Property and Evidence organization was a natural fit for McMurray Stern, as the C.A.P.E. community has fostered the growth of property and evidence professionals for more than 25 years. C.A.P.E. is made up of 9 chapters, divided up by region across California. They promote professionalism in property and evidence gathering, processing and retention through information sharing, training and support.

Their mission aligns perfectly with our ability to provide reliable, innovative evidence and property storage solutions. We support officers with drawings of their facility, budgetary pricing and expert space planning assistance.It is for these reasons that we will sponsor a table top at the 30th. annual C.A.P.E. seminar next year in Santa Barbara. We hope to connect with the hundreds of property and evidence officers we have met over the years.

In addition to the annual seminar, we have begun to make ourselves available to the local chapter meetings throughout the year. Recently, we visited the Central Valley chapter in Kerman, CA to talk with local chapter members about how to safely and efficiently store DNA, inmate property, bikes, cannabis, and weapons.

Innovative evidence and property storage solutions

DNA and biologicals storage in our vertical lift modules is an especially innovative solution. Our vertical lift modules are used in sterile environments to safely track, store and retrieve valuable and hard to organize items. VLM’s are an ideal solution.Vertical lift modules have software that can seamlessly integrate with your existing tracking system- ensuring the integrity of chain of custody.

Additionally, the VLM can be situated between two levels. This feature allows two different points of access to the biological evidence, as it’s needed in several departments.
